The Pin Striped Prison by Lisa Pryor is a book about how high achievers get stuck in high paying corporate jobs.

She starts this book by reporting her own experiences as a student at high school and then at uni, letting readers know how she was trapped into becoming a lawyer. Throughout the book she also shares other peoples experience with the same thing, which if you can relate to the situation, is actually very interesting. Rather than this being a novel or story, this book is in some ways a report. However, this is not a bad thing, as she gives pointers on how to avoid all the deceptive and misleading incentives that trap young students. I would recommend this book to anyone who considers themself a high achiever and are unsure of what career they want to enter into.
