Ber Carroll’s “High Potential” is about an ambitious lawyer who works to gain partnership of a firm.
However, woven into the storyline are the secrets her parents are trying to hide from her, as well as a bit of romance along the way. This book is written carefully so that not all is given away at the start. As you read, piece by piece, the information starts to fall into place, which is very intriguing. There are a lot of characters in this novel, and each develops and matures in their own way. While in some parts it seems as though there are too many characters to keep up with, at the end all the loose ends tie up and everything finishes off brilliantly. I would highly recommend this book, as it is interesting and left me wanting to read more, as well as being very well written with characters that you learn to either love or hate.
