"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future"
- John F. Kennedy
This is the place for parents to turn for advice, some laughs, practical information, and forums for sharing experiences with others who may be confronting the same issues.
When our delightful bundles of joy enter the world, we have great expectations for them, and we trust that parenting will come naturally for us as it has for thousands of years. But it doesn't!
Daily we face situations where we feel out of our depth. We may have a child who is not sleeping, screams all the time, won't go to school, backchats when we ask them to do something, refuses to eat, and so on. Dealing with this does not come naturally to us...
A self-help manual would be idea, where we could flick to the appropriate page and read the section that addresses whatever problem we face at that particular moment (eg. sibling rivalry) and follow the step-by-step solutions. However, since that does not exist, this website will attempt to touch on the issues that YOU want the answers to.
This site will be constantly updated to keep on top of new issues as they arise, as well as evidence-based practice in the research on how to deal with the problems that we all face.
"Children begin by loving their parents, as they grow older they judge them. Sometimes, they forgive them" - Oscar Wilde
